Show HN: Self-Annotating Stock Charts
Posted by regnull 5 hours ago
Most stock charts work in a similar way - they give you a bunch of tools to draw lines and patterns on a chart. This is fine, and I assume that advanced traders enjoy drawing on the chart. But it's also annoying, and seems arbitrary sometimes.
So I created stock charts that annotate themselves. The process has two stages:
First, the algorithm goes through the daily candles and identifies the structure: support and resistance zones, trendlines, volume spikes, etc.
Then, an LLM models understands the relative importance of the structure components, decides which ones to include, and annotates them.
Finally, it lays out the possible future moves: base case, bull and bear cases.
It's included in Portfolio Genius, the AI investment manager I'm building, and it's available free without signup here: https://portfoliogenius.ai/features/ai-annotated-charts
