Ask HN: Deployed vibecoded apps in prod at scale?
Posted by username_my1 8 hours ago
everyone is using agentic coding especially in the last two years, yet my personal believe is that in real world apps we're still limited by human effort (reviews / testing ...), regardless of how much automation and agentic reviews you have in place.
I've built many hobbyist projects end to end without looking at the code, and of course it works, but what's your experience deploying vibecoded projects to prod ? where are you seeing it? and how is it performing ?

For apps at scale, you can use Vercel or Railway for ease of use. I prefer to use Cloudflare pages/workers and a DigitalOcean droplet or something. Putting it up in standard cloud infrastructure also forces you to think a little bit more about how it’s built. E.g. where does the database live? Is there a separate API service, or built-in? Thinking like that will help your app perform better already at scale, instead of just having a python app with SQLite or something (nothing wrong with that, but there is a time and place for everything).
I put my smaller ones in Pando (https://github.com/trypando/pando), which is an open source project I’m working on, but it’s self hosted.

Bad. I'm in security and the vibe-coded apps are riddled with security issues.
