Where have the International Math Olympiad gold medallists ended up? (2024)

There are two IMO gold medalists from the US I used to chat with on freenode in ##crawl, the channel dedicated to Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. One is a mathematics professor, the other guy worked at RenTech for a while (Reid Barton, he’s been mentioned on HN semi-frequently). Both of them have Wikipedia articles and they were both child chess and math prodigies and both won the Morgan Prize.
