My take away from this is that we very much do need AI regulation.

I was somewhat OK not having as much regulation until the people in the industry started saying they didn't need it... now I know 100% that we need it and we likely can't have it soon enough. We likely needed it years ago even.

The fact that they got away with stealing every book in the world... faced no repercussions at all, should tell you they need a parent-figure to monitor and supervise or they'll keep making selfish and bad decisions that hurt others.
