Top contributors on multiple subs were banned by reddit's algo, it's very easy to trick their algo into banning almost anyone on their platform.

>Shares of Reddit were down nearly 23% in recent trading, a day after co-founder and CEO Steve Huffman warned in a letter to shareholders that “search referrals were choppy in the quarter, and traffic was more volatile later in the quarter.”

these are going to be bots. Contributions on top subreddits i used to use are down.

I don't think reddit will survive for much longer, it's going to go away just like stackoverflow and reason for this is going to be their increasing hostility towards subreddit specific mod.

Increasingly, difficult system which bans you for life. Most average user can't work past it. Also their "removed by reddit" algo.

I'd suggest betting on its share fall to nothing.

Perhaps, rather than AI, Reddit’s growing hostility to its own users might be the main driver of users away from Reddit.

In other words, AI is destructive and hostile to the very thing it needs to flourish --- new content to summarise.

Reddit problems aren't caused by AI, like at all. On the contrary, a good moderation policy would only gain value from AI and benefit users. However, the main business objective of Reddit is discourse control, just like every other highly promoted soc-med outfit.

What people like or not doesn't matter outside of that, Reddit's falling into oblivion is business going by plan - it will be shut down as soon as it loses its controlling grip or another entity assumes its role with "better" results.
