Geezus christ how did you manage to read the HN guidelines and think "this would make the perfect post for HN!"?

More racist bilge signalling from DHH. Surprise surprise, he's echoing Rupert Lowe, a man who mistook a charity rowing boat going up and down the coast as potential "illegal migrants" and was so sure of himself he shouted about it on X.

Rupert Lowe is a thoroughly unpleasant man (as well as deeply stupid and venal). Restore is a plainly bigotry-driven party whose only supporters are bigots.

Is the rape gang topic serious? Of course it is. Rupert Lowe, though… he is not serious.

It is only the most charitable interpretation that DHH is unaware that this inquiry is, pretty much, a personal campaign being wielded by an extremist party. He could have found this out from Google AI mode. But no — here he is amplifying the work of a Tommy Robinson ally, suggesting an important groundbreaking report is being suppressed by the media.

It's not an official independent inquiry, nor is it even a minority parliamentary inquiry.

Rupert Lowe crowdfunded a fake inquiry that concluded the way he wanted it to, and he has released it in time to influence a relevant local election tomorrow.

It's not much more than extremist positioning designed for election interference, so the BBC not covering it as if it is an official inquiry is, in fact, the correct, unbiased thing. All other media organisations are likely treating this the same way for the same reason.

It's not "news" in a meaningful way because there was an extensive, official, serious inquiry with the power to compel testimony. It was published four years ago, and was devastating and clear in its findings:

Again Google could have told DHH this.

Go away, David, you deplorable bigoted fool.
