Norman Podhoretz, 1930-2025

Anyone who could sustain a friendship with F.R. Leavis has stories to tell. I only know of him by repute, but from talking to people who had major roadblocks on their career as a result of the ructions in English Criticism from Leavis' effect on the community at large, I suspect this was a delicate balancing act.
